Personnel news – Joel Hästbacka appointed foreman at the Kokkola workshop
Joel Hästbacka has been appointed formean at the Kokkola workshop starting March 9. In his role, Joel is responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations of the workshop, work planning, and organizing daily tasks. He reports to Janne Kuorikoski.
The Kokkola workshop is already a familiar place for Joel. He previously worked at Adolf Lahti for a total of seven years as a mechanic, so returning to a familiar environment feels natural.
“It’s really nice to be back here. The place and many things are already familiar, so it’s easy to jump right back into the daily routine,” Joel says.
For the past two years, Joel has worked as a foreman at Automaa. The experience he gained there in work supervision, daily organization, and coordinating workshop operations provides a strong foundation for his new role in Kokkola.
“In my previous role, I gained valuable experience in supervision and organizing daily operations. Those experiences will certainly be very useful in this position,” Joel explains.
At the Kokkola workshop, Joel is responsible for coordinating the work of approximately 8–9 mechanics and ensuring the smooth running of daily operations together with his colleagues Mikael Krok and Daniel Brännström. Joel’s role is key to ensuring efficient workshop operations and smooth service for customers.
Although many things remain the same, Joel notes that the company has also developed since his earlier years there.
“There is more equipment now and the company has developed in many ways. At the same time, many familiar aspects have remained, which makes returning very pleasant,” he says.
Joel is bilingual and originally from Alaveteli, which supports working in the region with both Finnish- and Swedish-speaking customers and partners.
We warmly welcome Joel to our team and wish him great success in his new role!
